Men and Anxiety

Men and Anxiety Having anxiety is a normal part of everyday living.  You may have anxiety facing a problem at work or before taking a test in school.  This level of anxiety is temporary and usually situation specific.  The anxiety becomes a problem when it does not go away, gets worse over time, and interferes with daily activity such as job performance , school activities, and relationships. (Social Anxiety Association) This happens to be one of the largest mental health problems in the world today.    Obviously this doesn't just affect people...

I-I Me-Me Mine...The Case for Being "Selfish"

"I Me Mine" by The Beatles was written by George Harrison.  It was said that he wrote the song as a commentary on the selfishness of bandmates John Lennon and Paul McCartney.  They were in the middle of recording songs for the Let It Be documentary film.  George felt they had better things to do then learn the arrangement for this song, and appeared indifferent to recording it that struck him as "sheer egotism".  I guess it wasn't much of a surprise when the band broke up soon afterwards!! I guess the Dark Horse was onto something there, huh...having to deal with such egotists, so full of themselves they couldn't support their bandmate and just record his song with the kind of gusto that made The Beatles' earlier work legendary.  Or maybe John and Paul were onto something...hmmm...maybe they were trying to take care of themselves, something called self-preservation . Self-preservation:  In it's most simplistic definition, it refers to a se...
